Reunion: album cover

Reunion

Jazzizit Records
2010

Reunion is a coming together of two great jazz singers, Trudy Kerr and Ingrid James from opposite sides of the world. The girls sang together many years ago when they were both starting out in Brisbane, and have always stayed in contact. Singing an eclectic mix of jazz, latin and folk songs, they display exceptional interpretational skills and musicianship. Between them, they perform songs by composers such as Chick Corea, Bob Dorough, Baden Powell and Carole King. Supported by Tom Cawley (piano), Geoff Gascoyne (bass) and Seb de Krom (drums), Trudy and Ingrid laid down the album’s thirteen tracks at the Clowns Pocket Studios in Kent.
